Grades

Excellent, Good, and Fair.

The grade is cosmetic, plus a battery floor. A Fair phone is not a broken phone. If something does not work, it is not listed.

Excellent

12-month warranty

Looks barely carried. The one to buy if you want pre-loved without the patina.

Screen
No scratches visible at arm’s length. No cracks, no chips.
Body
No dents. Frame or lid may have a mark only if you go looking for it.
Battery
Phones are listed at 90% or higher. MacBooks in this grade are under about 150 cycles.

Good

12-month warranty

Honest daily wear. The device works fully and the marks are light.

Screen
Fine hairlines are allowed. Nothing a nail catches, and no cracks.
Body
Light marks or a faint corner rub. No bent housing.
Battery
Phones are listed at 85% or higher. MacBooks can show normal cycle wear, and we print the count.

Fair

6-month warranty

Visible life on it, priced for that. Still fully functional, still under warranty.

Screen
Deeper scratches are possible. The glass is intact, or we would not list it as Fair.
Body
Dents, deeper scratches, or shiny keys. No cracks that cut a finger.
Battery
Phones are at least 80%. If a MacBook is in Fair because of cycles, the listing says so.

The checklist

  • Power and charge

It turns on, holds a charge, and the port grips a cable.

  • Display and touch

We look for bright spots, dead pixels, and a cracked digitiser.

  • Cameras, speakers, microphones

A short recording and a photo from each lens.

  • Face ID or Touch ID

    Biometrics are tested, not assumed.

  • Battery

Phones get a health percentage. MacBooks get a cycle count.

  • Buttons, keyboard, ports

Including HDMI and the SD slot on the 14-inch Pro.

  • Radios

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a cellular check on phones.

  • iCloud and Find My

Nothing is listed while it is still locked to someone else’s account.
